Priyansh Arya: The Backbone of Indian Cricket

Priyansh Arya’s story feels like a dream unfolding. Born in 2001 to schoolteacher parents in Delhi, this 24-year-old lefty batsman started swinging a bat as a kid. Under coach Sanjay Bhardwaj—who shaped stars like Gautam Gambhir—he grew into a fearless T20 hitter. He burst onto the scene with Delhi in 2021, smashing runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and later shining in the 2024 Delhi Premier League. There, he scored 608 runs, including a jaw-dropping 120 off 50 balls with six sixes in an over—pure fire! Teaming up with Ayush Badoni, he racked up a 286-run stand that left fans buzzing. The IPL came calling in 2025. Punjab Kings grabbed him for ₹3.8 crore, and he didn’t disappoint—blasting 47 off 23 balls on debut. Inspired by Gambhir and Kohli, and now learning from Ricky Ponting, Arya’s got big dreams. He hasn’t played for India yet, but with his talent and grit, it feels like only a matter of time.
